The Cave is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting understanding of European values and the Erasmus+ programme in our region. We firmly believe that active community engagement is key to a prosperous future for all.
Our organisation uses Erasmus+ and a range of non-formal activities led by our volunteers to not only promote local and European engagement, but also to enhance sport, healthy living, social inclusion and environmental protection.
We are passionate about educating the residents of Messina about the importance of the European Union and the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme. Through educational projects and awareness-raising initiatives, we aim to inspire active and informed participation in Europe's political, social and economic spheres.
We recognise the incredible ability of sport to improve quality of life and promote health. For this reason, we organise sporting events, training sessions and recreational activities that encourage the young people of Messina to adopt a healthier lifestyle and improve their well-being.
Our commitment also extends to supporting young people in difficult situations, such as migrants, people with disabilities, residents of remote villages and NEETs (not in employment, education or training). Through non-formal activities aimed at social inclusion, we provide these people with opportunities for personal growth and development, ensuring them equal rights and opportunities.
We also believe in everyone's responsibility to protect the environment. By organising awareness campaigns and promoting eco-sustainable practices in everyday life, we involve the community of Messina in protecting the environment and fighting climate change.
Furthermore, we are actively involved at local level through non-formal education initiatives and participate in the European Solidarity Corps, allowing young people in Messina to live volunteering experiences that promote solidarity and social cohesion. These projects not only enrich participants on a personal and professional level, but also contribute significantly to the social fabric of our community. The Cave is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting understanding of European values and the Erasmus+ programme in our region.
